Amy Schumer has slammed a magazine for including her in a special 'plus size' issue
THIS MONTH, THE US edition of Glamour partnered up with women’s plus-size clothing store Lane Bryant to release a special magazine devoted to plus-size fashion.
The issue features beauty advice, photo shoots and celebrity interviews. According to Fashionista, “The focus throughout is on body positive perspectives and fashion inspiration from models, actresses, bloggers and a diverse array of everyday women.”
Among the celebrities featured in the issue? Amy Schumer. And she’s not too pleased about it.
This afternoon, the actress took to Instagram to call out Glamour for featuring her in the special issue when she is not even remotely plus-sized.
She went on to say that the magazine was sending mixed messages to young girls over what is and isn’t plus-sized.
And it seems that many on social media agreed with her.

This afternoon, Cindi Leive, the editor-in-chief of Glamour, took to Twitter to defend Schumer’s inclusion in the issue.
Leive explained that Schumer was included not for her size, but for her “longtime message of body positivity”.
This evening, Schumer shared the following video on Instagram and wrote, “Thanks for your thoughts to the people who didn’t tell me how I ‘should feel’.”
